SSO bargaining: Online information sessions available, new bargaining dates set

PSAC’s Statistical Survey Operations bargaining team will be holding online bargaining information sessions across the country to bring members up to speed on the issues at the table.  

Negotiations between PSAC (Regional Offices and Field Units at SSO) and the employer kicked off in early December, with bargaining continuing January 27-28. New dates have also been set for the first week of March.

Pour souligner le 5e anniversaire du cauchemar Phénix, le gouvernement libéral a décidé de flouer des milliers de membres de l’AFPC en leur faisant payer de l’impôt sur un dédommagement visant à compenser tous les problèmes causés par le système de paye Phénix. C’est scandaleux!

Help Statistics Canada improve data on LGBTQ2+ communities

PSAC strongly encourages members to take part in Statistics Canada’s public consultation on gender identity and sexual orientation.

This year, the agency plans to expand its data-gathering to include broader definitions of gender and sexual orientation to reflect a more diverse and representative Canada.

Le CST rejette l’arbitrage : le personnel de cybersécurité passe au vote de grève

Les pourparlers entre le Centre de la sécurité des télécommunications (CST) et les fonctionnaires en cybersécurité sont dans l’impasse et l’employeur a rejeté la demande d’arbitrage du syndicat. C’est pourquoi les travailleuses et travailleurs ont dû passer au vote de grève. Ils ont jusqu’au 24 pour voter.

Cybersecurity workers begin strike votes as CSE rejects arbitration

Cybersecurity workers at Canada’s Communications Security Establishment (CSE) are participating in strike votes after the collapse of bargaining talks and as their request for binding arbitration was rejected by management. Voting will close on February 24.

The Liberal government has shamelessly chosen the 5th anniversary of the Phoenix pay system disaster to short-change thousands of PSAC members on their compensation for years of pay problems.
