PSAC backs flight attendants’ fight against unpaid work
PSAC shares in solidarity with Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flight attendants who are engaged in a challenging round of bargaining with the airline, fighting against unpaid work, a long-standing injustice across the airline industry. On Wednesday, August 13, the Air Canada Component of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) representing over 10,000 flight attendants, served the airline with a 72-hour strike notice. In response, Air Canada issued its own lockout notice.
