Fonctions: 

Under the supervision of the Information Governance Manager, the Records and Information Management (RIM) Officer plays a key role in the design, development and implementation of the PSAC’s Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS).  He/she will play a lead role in the areas of records retention and disposition, metadata mapping, taxonomy, nomenclature, and SharePoint architecture, and will assist with change management and the transition to the new EDRMS across Branches, Sections and Regions within the PSAC.

Required Qualifications

 

Education and professional qualifications:

  • University degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 3 years experience in the field of records and information management.

Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of EDRMS methodologies and their implementation;
  • In-depth knowledge of records retention principles and practices;
  • Knowledge of metadata mapping principles and techniques;
  • Advanced knowledge of the SharePoint functionalities related to records and information management;
  • Superior understanding of the complexities and challenges in the design and management of an EDRMS in a multi-lingual environment.

Abilities:

  • Excellent project management, problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills;
  • Ability to apply and implement relevant new information management technologies and applications;
  • Ability to provide technically sound and accessible advice to a wide range of stakeholders and end users;
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver training and presentations to a diverse user community;
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and French (will be assessed).
