Chris Di Liberatore, Regional Executive Vice-President, Atlantic

Chris Di Liberatore was elected PSAC Regional Executive Vice-President for the Atlantic at the  9th Regional Triennial Convention in June 2023.

Chris has been an activist for nearly 20 years. He was hired with the Canada Revenue Agency in 2002 and became involved in the union as a picket captain during the 2004 CRA strike, where his passion for the labour movement was ignited!

Chris has held various positions in his UTE local 80003 including Chief Shop Steward and Local Vice-President. He was also elected for two terms as the President’s representative on UTE’s National Standing Committee for Staffing.

An active PSAC member in the Atlantic region for years, Chris was elected as a Nova Scotia Director on the PSAC Atlantic Regional Council in June 2011. At the PSAC Atlantic Triennial Convention in 2017, Chris was elected Alternate REVP, a role he has held for the last two terms.

Being involved in the labour movement is important to Chris, his activism spans further than his involvement in the PSAC. He has been a representative on the Nova Scotia Federation of labour since October 2017.

As for his personal life, Chris was born and raised in Halifax, and now resides in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia with his wife Shirley. Chris is immensely proud that his son Drew has recently started working for CRA in the Annapolis Valley and is now in the same local as him, UTE local 80003!
