It is important for Shop Stewards to talk to members, to our families, to our neighbours and to the public about what unions do for workers and for our society. 

The myth that unions are redundant or obsolete feeds the corporate agenda and supports the wage gap between the rich and the poor  which is widening at alarming rates which in this country. 

Now is the time for unions to stand up proud, in solidarity, to protect worker rights and help maintain decent pay and benefits for all workers in Canada.
